There are significant differences between the gypsum used in children’s archaeological toys and the gypsum used for construction purposes. Construction-grade gypsum is a type of concrete used for exterior walls and interior decoration. It possesses excellent compressive strength and durability, can withstand moisture and corrosion, and offers a certain degree of thermal insulation. On the other hand, the gypsum used in children’s archaeological toys is a lightweight variant. It has much lower compressive strength and durability compared to construction-grade gypsum, and its thermal insulation properties are also inferior. Additionally, the gypsum in children’s archaeological toys is more prone to damage, whereas construction-grade gypsum can be used for prolonged periods.
Our dig toy gypsum is made from environmentally friendly gypsum, and it doesn’t cause any pollution to the environment after use. However, the gypsum powder left after excavation cannot be reused. In other words, it cannot be poured back into molds and re-baked to create new dig toys.
